Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe says expedited development can be witnessed by developing the country’s tourism industry.
Speaking to media after observing the Dedduwa tourism zone the Premier said the government will assist persons who wish to launch start-up new businesses related to tourism by providing training and loan facilities while being focused on ensuring benefits to everyone.
Premier Wickremesinghe also said a tour guide school will be established in the South.
The Prime Minister added the Southern Province has experienced massive development with Hambantota on one side and Galle on the other claiming the government will stretch the development to Badulla.
Premier Wickremesinghe said the initial steps of development projects are mostly based in Beruwela adding the Western, Southern, Uva provinces and the Monaragala District will be introduced to development projects.
