The Department of Meteorology says due to atmospheric disturbances in the vicinity of Sri Lanka, cloudy skies and rain is expected over most provinces.
The Department said showers will be experienced tonight while heavy falls above 100mm can be expected in the Southern, Sabaragamuwa, Uva, Central, Western and Eastern provinces.
Showers will also occur in the Northern, North-central and Eastern Provinces and in the Matale district tomorrow, adding fairly heavy falls above 75mm can be expected.
Fairly strong winds of upto 50kmph can be expected in Northern, North-central and Central province and Hambanthota, Monaragala and Matara districts.
